An Olympic gold medal winner, this American was born on October 25, 1993, in San Diego, California, the USA. Learning the sport from his father, who began training him at a young age, this young man attended the Scripps Ranch High School in his hometown before going to college. The individual winner of the 2011 California State High School Championship (in golf, of course), he first went to the California State University in Long Beach before transferring to the San Diego State University. He decided to go pro as soon as he got out.

Although the young man was making appearances on the Web.com Tour (Korn Ferry Tour), he did yearn for his PGA Tour debut. It came in January 2017 at the CareerBuilder Challenge in La Quinta, California. His first win on tour was The Greenbrier Classic in his debut season. He followed that up by winning the TOUR Championship and became the first-ever rookie to do so. Since then, this young man has won four other times on the tour.
