Maradona Salary & Net Worth

How much did Diego Maradona earn?

Diego Maradona has a net worth of...

90,000 Euros (101,000 Dollars)

The legendary footballer has attracted the big bucks from very early on. He was a true star on the pitch and nothing short of controversial away from it. He was sponsored by Puma from his very early days, and he has maintained a good relationship with the German giants to this day. Endorsement deals with Coca-Cola, Hublot, and a few others made him a fortune. His net worth was estimated to be about 50 million Euros at one point. Sadly, an Italian tax due meant that his assets were confiscated, and he has been left to foot a giant bill. Our estimates suggest that he's currently worth about 90,000 Euros.

Current Job

What does Maradona currently do?

He loves the sport, and coaching is how he's managed to stay connected with it after retiring. He currently manages Gimnasia de Plata in Argentina. He has also coached Textil Mandiyú, Racing Club, Al-Wasl, Fujairah, Dorados de Sinaloa at club level, and the Argentine national football team. (Image: imgur.com)

Iconic Moments

Hand of God
Diego Maradona most iconic moment, the Argentine number 10 from Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina
The most controversial goal in the history of the sport, let alone the World Cup goes to the Hand of God goal. It has been dubbed that by the media. But we think it's the hand of the devil. This goal was not just opportunistic or predatory but was the deceit of the highest order. It was unsportsmanlike in every sense of the word, and there's nothing to be admired about it. However, it provides a valuable insight into the mind of this genius and a lesson for every footballer of what not to be. It has become somewhat of a legend for all the wrong reasons. Goal of the 20th Century V England
Diego Maradona most iconic moment, the Argentine number 10 from Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Peter Shilton, Terry Fenwick, Terry Butcher, Peter Beardsley, Peter Reid, and Steve Hodge were made to look like fools when the Don scored this goal. He beat them all and ran from his half to score the goal of the 20th century. It arguably is also the greatest goal of any World Cup ever. It came in the same match as the Hand of God goal. It dumped England out of the competition and Argentina led by our dribble master, went on to win the World Cup in 1986. This is a piece of skill that cannot be emulated. It takes quality, an acute love of the sport, and sheer audacity to pull something off like this. (Image: imgur.com)

Napoli's Champion
Diego Maradona most iconic moment, the Argentine number 10 from Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina
He has played for some big clubs in Europe, including Barcelona, but nowhere has he been as stellar as he has in Naples. His legend in that part of Italy lives to this day. Napoli had their best run in their history whilst he played for them. He won two Serie A titles for them with the first coming in 1986-7 and the second in 1989-90. There were also other titles, and they established Napoli as a big player in Italy. His stardom on the field warranted a lot of unnecessary actions off of it, including drug abuse. It's something that is unheard of in today's game, but it did ruin his career. Neither club nor player has been the same since. (Image: imgur.com)

He's still making the headlines at nearly 60. The man met his current fiancee in 2012 and has proposed to her. Rocio is 29 years his junior, and they're due to marry soon. (Image: imgur.com)

Did he facepalm because Argentina did something terrible, or was it because she seems a bit disinterested? Maybe she's not as passionate as you about the game Don. (Image: imgur.com)

Family - Get to know them

Maradona Son - Diego Sinagra

We wanted to give Diego what his father didn't for a very long time. Recognition. He was born to our footballer and Cristiana Sinagra in 1986. He's a footballer just like his father. (Image: imgur.com)

Maradona Daughter - Giannina

Giannina is his famous daughter because she married Sergio Aguero. Dad and daughter have had a rocky relationship but have patched things up now. She looks gorgeous in her black dress, by the way. (Image: imgur.com)

Maradona Car - What does he drive?

Ferrari Testarossa

This car was gifted to him by the then Napoli president. He had this Ferrari custom painted in black. Maybe he's batman and only likes his cars in black? That would explain the petulant behavior. (Image: imgur.com)

He's known to drive over journalist's legs. You get irritated if you're going to have your face wrapped in a bandage as he has. The things you do to attract a younger female. Sigh. (Image: imgur.com)
