Player Bio

Born in Milan, Italy, he is a product of AC Milan’s youth system, beginning his prospects as a ten-year old before earning his call up to the senior side in 2011 at 21. On 28 September 2011, he took the field for the first time in I Rossoneri, as Milan completed a 2-0 victory over Czech opposition Viktoria Plzen in the San Siro during the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. On 10 April 2012, he made he took his Serie A vow, starting in a 1-0 victory over Chievo. Over the course of the next six seasons, the Italian fullback would play in both flanks for Milan, displaying his adaptability. On 6 March 2016, he completed a century of appearances for Milan, captaining the side in what would ultimately prove to be a disappointing outing with Milan suffering a 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo. In total he made 133 appearances for Il Diavolo and won the Supercoppa Italiana in the 2011 and 2016 season. On 20 July 2017, he brought his time at his boyhood club to an end, signing for rivals Juventus for a fee of €12 million on a five-year deal. On 31 August, he made his debut for Juve in a 3-2 loss against Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana. The disappointing start would soon be forgotten as La Vecchia Signora competed a domestic double of Serie A and Coppa Italia come the end of the season.
