Luke Bolton was born in Stockport, England on on the 7th of October 1999. He is known as one of the big promises of English football. In 2016 he started playing for The Citizens U18 in the U18 Premier League, and scored 3 times in 18 games and was assisting 11 goals. The next season he was selected for the under-23 side, and scored twice in had two assists in seven games. He has caught the eyes of the coaches, and also of Pep Guardiola. He started to train with the first team on occasions. He was one of the breakthrough talents who showed his amazing potential in Manchester City's pre-season tour in the United States of America. He joined the first team and was even included in the Champions League squad. During his first games for the Citizens (and not the smallest games, versus Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool) he played at a for him unfamiliar position: as a full back. He did a good job, but normally prefers to play as a right winger. Later he showed that he was grateful on Twitter: “I would like to thank my family, friends and everyone who has supported me on my journey so far. Hopefully many more to come!”. The boy from Stockport impressed in his games for Manchester City's youth teams. He made his debut for England U20 as a 17 year old, and played for them during the Toulon Tournament in 2017.
