El Culichi is a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. This No. 7 was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, México, on August 12, 1996. In his early years, he was a member of Mexico's national youth team. Discovered at a showcase in June 2012 by the Dodgers as a 15-year-old, he was signed by the LA-based team soon enough. The Dodgers paid a $450,000 signing bonus for his signature, the majority of which went to the Mexican League's Diablos Rojos del México. On May 25, 2013, this youngster made his professional debut for the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League. He's also played for the California League's Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the AAA Oklahoma City Dodgers. On May 27, 2016, El Culichi was promoted to the Los Angeles Dodgers and debuted in the major leagues against the New York Mets. As a youngster who was still honing his skills, this Mexican returned to the minor leagues before becoming a full-time member of the Dodgers. A World Series champion in 2020, this young man is a left-arm pitcher and can chuck balls over 90 mph consistently.
