Since the summer of 2018 he has a mysterious person pictured on his left leg. Who is it exactly? It's one of football's most mysterious tattoo's - and its still not clear who the defender is honouring here. Some people think it might be Norman Rimmington, the Barnsley FC legend who passed away at the end of 2017. (Image: TheSun.co.uk)

The defender has a massive and detailed picture of long-term girlfriend Millie Savage on his arm. As you can see a nice clock is worked around her chin. He took this tattoo in December 2016 and was a way of showing his love to her (especially after he cheated on her with WAG Jessica Peaty!). (Image: 101GreatGoals.com)

Bio
John Stones is an English defender playing for Manchester City in the British Premier League. He was born on the 28th of May 1994 and started his career at his hometown club Barnsley, the city he was also born in. After being moved to Everton in 2013 the centre back developed himself into one of the best defenders of the Premier League. This made sure that Man. City became interested in his services. In 2016 Man. City payed a record fee of 47.5 million British Pounds, making him the world's most expensive defender at the time. The Englishman is also a proud representative of the Three Lions, the England national team. He has been playing for England on the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament as well as the FIFA World Cup in 2018. At the World Cup in Russia he reached the semi-finals with England. The man from Barnsley is well known for his ability to support the build-up play, something that not a lot of defenders are capable of doing. Besides that he is a strong force in the air, making him a very complete defender. He is a regular starter under manager Pep Guardiola. In 2018 he and his Man. City teammates became champions of the Premier League, breaking several records in the process.
