Bio
Born in Douala, Cameroon, he moved to France at the age of four and began his prospects as a footballer in 2003, when he was 10 years old. He spent time training at the academies of Cheminots de I’Ouest and RCF Paris, before moving to AS Nancy to complete his development. He made his professional debut on 26 May 2013, coming on in the dying minutes of a Ligue 1 game against Stade Brestois. The defensive midfielder made 62 appearance for Les Chardons before moving to fellow Ligue 1 club LOSC Lille ahead of the 2015/16 season. The Cameroonian made his debut for Les Dogues on 7 August 2015, as Lille suffered a 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint Germain. The defensive midfielder made over a century of appearances for LOSC Lille, and was appointed club captain during his final season at the club. On 2 July 2018, Ibra moved to Spain to sign a four-year deal with La Liga club Sevilla. He featured 32 times for Los Hispalenses but only 17 of them came in the league. Unable to establish himself in Sevilla’s midfield, the destructive midfield man looked for opportunities elsewhere. On 7 August 2019, he moved to England to join newly promoted Premier League club Norwich City on a season-long loan deal. He made his debut against Manchester City as a make-shift centre-back, and helped the Canaries stun the English champions in a 3-2 win.
