Born in DR Congo, he moved to England at 4 years of age and grew up in Woolwich, London. At the age of 12 he joined the football academy of West Ham United. The young man started off as a striker but gradually moved to wide positions while playing at the under-15 level. In February 2014 he would make his debut for the under-18 side, over a year later in January 2015 he played his first game in Premier League 2, a professional development league for youth football managed by the Premier League. In May 2016 the Congolese born winger signed first professional contract of his career with West Ham United, and shortly thereafter signed a contract extension in 2018 tying him up with the London based club for a further two years. He made his first team debut in September 2018 in the EFL Cup against Macclesfield Town, completing full 90 minutes of football and scoring two goals. Shortly after he would make his Premier League debut as a 83rd minute substitute in a 3-1 home against victory Manchester United. In the ongoing 2018-19 season he has been getting regular first team opportunities. In January 2019 he signed a new six year contract which will keep him at the London club till 2025.
