The defensive midfielder under the spotlight here holds a unique record. He's one of the very few players, if not the only one to play for two different countries as a senior. This gentleman has represented France but now plays for the Central African Republic thanks to all those games that he played for Les Bleus being unofficial. Born in Nemours, France, this 27-year-old developed his skills at FC Nandy and US Sénart-Moissy before being welcomed by the Lens academy. He debuted as a senior in Ligue 1 for the Sang et Or in 2010. His first move outside the country came in 2012 when he moved to Sevilla. A year later, he was with Monaco, and two years after that, it was Inter Milan in Serie A. He spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Valencia before making his move permanent in 2018. His physique allows him to be an anchor in the midfield. He tackles well, is good at reading the play, and can intercept passes with ease. He is capable of playing as a central midfielder and can work as a pivot too. His short-range passing allows him to get out of trouble in compact spaces, and his vision lets him contribute to build-up. This bull has represented France in every single youth level from the Under-16 onwards. He has also won the Under-20 World Cup with The Blues.
