Bio
Fábio Henrique Tavares, better known as Fabinho, is a footballer from Brazil who currently plays for Liverpool. He prefers to play as a defensive midfielder or to operate from the right back position. Nowadays he's also frequently part of the Brazilian national team aka the Seleção! But he started his career way back at Fluminense, one of the biggest clubs of his birthplace São Paulo. He was a substitute a couple of times, but sadly enough never made it to the first team. He was still young of course. But talented! That was obvious. And that is exactly what the Brazilian Primeira Liga side Rio Ave saw. They did not hesitate and signed him for six years in the summer of 2012. But only after one month he moved on loan to Real Madrid Castilla, the reserve team of the real Galacticos. In his first season he played over 30 games in the Segunda Division. He played only one game for the first team of Real Madrid, replacing Fabio Coentrao and even assisting the sixth goal made by Angel Di Maria versus Malaga (6-2 win). In July 2013 he joined AS Monaco for a season-long loan deal. In France he impressed and finally showed his potential week after week. After two seasons on loan at Monaco they bought him permanently in 2015. In total he played over 150 games for Monaco. Liverpool then signed him for a 39 Million Pound deal in the summer of 2018. He made his debut for The Reds in the Champions League group game against Paris St-Germain.
