Bio
This Colombian footballer likes to play at the centre back position. He started his career at América de Cali, but when his parents moved to another city he joined Atlético Nacional. He made his debut in the first team in October 2013 against Boyacá Chicó (0-1 loss). Coach Juan Carlos Osorio started with him in the first eleven and he played the whole 90 minutes. He was only 17 years old by then. He played only 30 games in total for Atlético, but this was enough to impress the international top teams. Flamengo and Ajax were serious, just like FC Barcelona. The club from Catalunya wanted to put in FC Barcelona B first, which Davinson did not like. He made the choice to move to Amsterdam and join Ajax, a club where young players often get serious chances to develop themselves. He stayed only one season in Amsterdam, in which they reached the final of the Europa League (2-0 loss vs Manchester United). In the summer of 2017 Tottenham Hotspur wanted to sign him and made an official bid of 42 Million Euro. Although the club from Amsterdam really liked Davinson, they couldn't let him stay for that amazing amount of money. He made his debut for Tottenham Hotspurs in August 2017 versus Burnley (1-1) and ever since he is one of the most important players at White Hart Lane!
