Player Bio

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he emigrated to the Netherlands as a boy and joined the youth academy of PSV Eindhoven in 2008 as a nine-year old. Upon completing his development in 2014, the winger went on to play for Eindhoven’s U19 side, featuring in 33 games, the teenager scored 6 goals and made 3 assists. Due to the lack of opportunity that presented itself, the burgeoning footballer had seek pastures anew, and in the summer of 2016 he put pen to paper, signing a long-term contract with fellow Eredivisie outfit NEC Nijmegen. After an initial spell with NEC’s U21 side which yielded an incredible 8 goals from 9 games, the winger was given his chance to showcase his skills for the first-team. On 16 September 2016, he made his debut for NEC, as luck would have it, against boyhood club PSV Eindhoven. The Dutchman appeared in 46 competitive fixtures for NEC, totalling 14 goals and 17 assists. His next challenge was to be in Belgium with Club Brugge KV. The forward waged a successful campaign, totalling 6 goals and 4 assists in 25 appearances to help Brugge to a Belgian Super Cup win. On 1 August 2019, Premier League club AFC Bournemouth beat out the rest of the competition to sign the Dutch winger on a four-year contract for a fee of £14 million.
