As a free safety, he plays in one of the most underrated positions in the gridiron. He reads the game like no other player on the field and gets to be the defensive quarterback, quite rightly too. To put it bluntly, he watches the game unfold and steps in to correct another player's mistake.
His tackles are explosive, and they come in at the perfect time after he has waited for his opportunity patiently. His nickname "Area 29" is a testament to his ability to own the zone. His athletic prowess can be traced back to his high school days. Attending the West Orange-Stark High School in his hometown, he was a star track and field athlete. He played football too, but there's no evidence of him playing another sport competitively. He attended the University of Texas at Austin before entering the 2010 NFL Draft where he was selected by the Seahawks in Round 1 and 14th overall. This seven-time Pro Bowler reached the pinnacle of his profession when he won the Super Bowl to decide the 2013 season.
