Born in Long Beach, California on November 12, 1988 this American professional basketball player in his early life lost his best friend with whom he had hopes of going to UCLA. Do the lack of his height he did not receive any recruitment letters from universities until his senior year when his averages where of the scale and also in the same year he managed to grew very fast to his todays’ adult height. This point guard did not attract much attention from top college basketball programs but eventually the UCLA Bruins offered him a scholarship. In his second season at UCLA he was named as a starter and won the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year. He decided to enter the NBA draft in 2008 after just two years at UCLA. He was selected as the 4th overall pick by the Seattle Supersonics and then, just in few days this point guard signed Oklahoma City Thunder. More than 10 years long career as a “Thunder” is full of accomplishments. He set the record for the most triple – doubles in a season, an eight - time NBA All - Star, led the league in scoring in 2014/2015 and 2016/2017, also an eight-time All - NBA Team member and earned the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in the 2016/2017 season. One of the most athletic players in NBA history and known for his “intensity play” during the whole game signed with the Houston Rockets on July 2019.
