From a family of athletes, this small forward / shooting guard was born on May 2, 1990 in Palmdale, California and didn’t play organized basketball until his freshman year at high school where he soon got a leading role in his senior season. He led his high school in the Golden League championship where he was named the Golden League Most Valuable Player and was declared Player of the Year in local press. He made a stunning debut on the first few games at California State University and already on the second game he made number 1 “Play of the Day“ with his impressive one handed slam dunk. In the 2010 NBA Draft as one of the most entertaining college players he was drafted as the 10th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers. The “Fresno State” retired his number 24 as he is the highest NBA draft pick in the history of that university. A shooting guard in first two seasons with the Pacers and on the third season was the offensive small forward option for the franchise in years that followed. With his athleticism he also developed a reputation as high – flyer and participated in the NBA Slam Dunk Contests. In 2017, George was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This two – way shooting guard / small forward is a highly versatile player with six - time NBA All-Star selection, five - time All - NBA Team and as well as a four - time member of the NBA All - Defensive Team selection.
