Hello and welcome to all WTFoot readers from all over the world. Welcome to the wiki of this retired goalkeeper. He was one of the most infamous goalkeepers in English football history. Let's have a look at how the career of this remarkable goalie has developed. He started his career all the way back in 1992, when he joined the youth academy of Norwich City. He also started his professional career for the team from Norwich, England. He then went on to play for several English teams, including West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and right now he is playing for Chelsea where he is the third or fourth goalkeeper. This man is perhaps most well known for his howler in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. In England's first match he messed up in a big way when he let an easy Clint Dempsey shot through in a laughable manner. As a result England drew the match and went on to finish second in their group. This has desatrous consequences because Germany, one of the tournaments best teams, was now England's opponent. The Howler King did not play anymore after the group stage, David James took his place, but England were demolished by the Germans (4-1) and were out of the tournament. After the 2010 World Cup he was never again selected to play for the Three Lions. Sad. In the summer of 2019 he choose to retire from professional football.
