Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was born in June 1989. He's a French-Gabonese football player, who prefers to play as a winger. Nowdays he is also often used as a central forward. In 2007, when he was 18 years old, he joined the AC Milan youth academy. The 'Rossoneri' thought he was not ready for the Serie A yet, and wanted him to gain some experience at the highest level. That's why they decided to send Auba on loan to a Ligue 1 club. For three times even! They first sent him to Dijon, then moved to Lille and after that AS Monaco. The weird thing? In his career he never made it to the first team of AC Milan. Pierre-Emerick is clearly a slow starter. AS Saint-Etienne bought him in 2012 for 1.5 Million Euro. And that's where the success started! He made the first hattrick of his professional career after only a couple of games (versus Lorient). That season he made 16 goals. The next season (2012/2013) he scored even 19 goals. Only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (who became champion of the Ligue 1 that year with Paris St. Germain) made more goals that year. In 2013 Auba moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he signed a contract for five years. BVB bought him for 11 Million Euro (9.7 Million Pound). And, we can say it easily by now, that was a good deal. He made his debut for Borussia Dortmund against FC Augsburg and he immediately scored 3 goals (4-0 win). A legend was born. The fans loved him from his first match. He made 98 goals for Borussia Dortmund in 144 games. A lot of clubs were interested, even some of the biggest clubs of the world such as FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. But Auba decided to sign at Arsenal. Arsenal was willing to pay 63 Million Euro (55 Million Pound) for him.
