Meet this powerful and sturdy defender from Argentina. He was born in La Plata in 1990 and he started his professional career at hometownclub Estudiantes de La Plata (Estudiantes). He played for 3 full seasons at that club before making the move overseas. He joined Russian giants Spartak Moscow in 2010 but he only played 17 games for that team in 2 seasons. It was at his next club Sporting CP in Portugal that he would really start to make a name for himself, specifically in the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons. Rojito played so well in fact that he was selected for the 2014 FIFA World Cup squad. Argentina had a very succesful tournament, reaching all the way to the World Cup Final. The defender was one of the better players of the squad and that eventually earned him a transfer to Manchester United, his current team. At United he has won the 2016 UEFA Europa League in Sweden, beating Ajax 2-0. The first few seasons at United were pretty succesful but under manager José Mourinho he has not always been in the squad, let alone started games. This was also due to several injuries, the worst being a torn ligament that cost him nearly half a season.
