Bio
Born to Ghanian parents in Hamburg, Germany, before relocating to England to be raised in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, the young man began his footballing prospects with the academy of Leicester City in 2005. He progressed through the ranks to make his first-team debut in a League Cup fixture on 9 August 2011 against Rotherham United in which he scored a hat-trick; a couple of days later he made his EFL Championship debut as The Foxes fell to a 2-0 defeat to Reading; the winger finished his debut season with 6 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions. During Leicester City's 2013/14 EFL Championship campaign the winger would show his versatility filling in at both left-back and left-wing positions when required, he made 26 appearances in the league to help Leicester City finish as champions and thereby earning automatic promotion to the Premier League. After making his Premier League debut on 16 August 2014 as a second half substitute against Everton, the Ghanian would scored his first Premier League goal on 4 October 2014 in a 2-2 draw with Burnley. The utility man scored 3 and assisted 2 goals in 32 appearances to help Leicester City escape relegation come the end of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign, and was awarded Leicester City Young Player of the Year and Leicester City Players' Player of the Year for his outstanding performances. The 2015/16 season will be the highlight of anyone affiliated with Leicester City Football Club, The Foxes stunned the footballing world to be crowned Premier League champions, the Ghanian made 24 appearances and picked up his second Leicester City Young Player of the Year award in the process. On 13 January 2017, after 12 years of service, the defender would part ways with his boyhood club to sign for fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace, since his move the utility man has made 80 appearances for The Eagles in all competitions, scoring 5 and assisting 6 goals.
