Eden is coming from a true football family! Both his father and his mother played football at a high level. His father was playing semi-professional for La Louvière as a defensive midfielder, his mother was a striker and played in the Belgian Women's First Division. Little Eden started at Royal Stade Brainois: by then he was only four years old. Eight years later he moved to the slightly bigger club Tubize. While he was playing a tournament with that club he was being spotted by a scout of the big French club Lille. This club offered him a contract as soon as they could: his qualities were obvious. Eden joined the forces of Lille in 2005, and after two years in the youth academy he made his debut in the first team. He was for the first time in the starting eleven against AS Saint-Etienne and, as it should be with promising talents, he scored a goal during this game. During the 2007-08 he became a regular of the first team. The two following seasons he won the ‘Best Young Player of the Ligue 1 Award’. Nuff said. During the 2010-11 season Lille won the French title ánd the cup. In May 2012 it was announced that Hazard would move to Chelsea, for a amount of 40 Million Euro. He made his debut for Chelsea in the Community Shield game versus Manchester City. In his first Premier League game (vs. Wigan Athletic) he gave an assist and provoked a penalty. Not bad. Already in his very first season at Stamford Bridge he became an important player of the first squad, and later on.. well, he simply became the big star of Chelsea. In the summer of 2019 he signed at Real Madrid.
