Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on July 5th, 1999, Trev followed in the footsteps of his older brother Nathaniel and joined English club Chelsea’s youth system at the age of eight. Coming through as a part of Cobham’s finest generation the youngster saw unprecedented success at youth level as Chelsea won UEFA Youth League, UEFA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League. The centre-back signed his first professional contract with The Blues in 2018 and spent the subsequent three seasons on loan at lower division English clubs Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and finally Lorient of Ligue 1. 2021 saw a huge turn in the young man’s fortunes as Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel installed him in the first-team. Trev was swift to repay the faith shown in him by helping The Blues capture the 2021 UEFA Super Cup on his debut. The 22-year old was rewarded with a five-year contract in November 2021 showing the club’s belief in him moving forward.
