Maya was born as Maya Indea Jama on the 14th of August, 1994, in Bristol, England. Her mother, Sadie, is of Swedish origin, whilst her dad has Somali roots. Maya has a brother named Omar and is based in West London for now.
Maya Jama’s early years
Ms Jama did not have an easy childhood. This young lady was raised by her mother because her dad spent most of her childhood in prison. A man who had more than a few violent altercations at the pub, he was completely absent from her life. However, Maya did have the support of her father’s extended family. As a sixteen-year-old, Maya moved to London in search of a better life. Although things started on a good note, everything spiralled out of control soon after. She had to endure living with a drug addict flatmate and also had to deal with the loss of her then-boyfriend, who was murdered. But this resilient lady overcame everything and got to where she wanted to be. Two years ahead of her original plan.
Maya Jama’s career
Maya was career-oriented from her teenage years. She wouldn’t have moved to London otherwise. As a youth, this woman wanted to host a show on prime time TV before turning 25. She had already achieved that goal by the time she turned 23 when she got a chance to host a show called Cannonball on ITV. This lady had already burst onto the scene when she got to work on a show called Maya’s FIFA World Cup cities in 2014. Maya hasn’t looked back since.

Maya Jama’s previous relationships
This multi-ethnic woman did suffer a tragedy when she moved to London as a teenager. But, she bounced back from it and found love again. Maya met London based rapper Stormzy in 2105. Thanks to their similar family conditions, these two connected. She was in a long-term relationship with the man till August 2019. Just a few days after her birthday, Maya put an end to the relationship. No one knows why their relationship ended, but we know that infidelity was not the reason.

The first time Maya and Ben met was in 2019. She liked the American and started getting to know him. Maya came off a long term relationship and wanted to take things slow.
