Shireen Mula Biography

British-Guyanese actress and singer Golda Rosheuvel is well-known for her theatre work and several on-screen parts, most notably for playing Queen Charlotte in the Netflix series Bridgerton.

Among the plays Rosheuvel has performed on stage are Porgy and Bess, Macbeth, The Winter’s Tale, Romeo and Juliet, Angels in America, Bad Girls: The Musical, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Othello’s lesbian Othello was portrayed by Rosheuvel in 2018.

In the 2019 Netflix historical drama Bridgerton, directed by Shonda Rhimes, Rosheuvel was given the role of Queen Charlotte. With favorable reviews from critics, the series debuted on December 25, 2020.
